KAMALPUR, Nov 12 (TIWN) : BSM(Bimal Singha Memorial) Hospital , Kamalpur has become irresistible for the patients and patient parties especially for bad odour. The NGO appointed cleaning staffs are reluctant to their duties resulting in such situation, alleged the patients, patient parties and staffs of the hospital. However, the NGO authorities or the appointed staffs are very much reluctant about their negligence.
Recently, the situation of the hospital of Kamalpur, named after the deceased Health Minister Late Bimal Singha has become so worsened that, he would be very much shocked if he be alive still . Leaving apart all the lacks in medical sector, the hospital premise has turned into a den of unhygienic bad odour. Even the SDMO being irritated with the situation, informed the NGO and the higher up authority to remedy the situation.
Some of the cleaning staffs alleged that, the NGO is not paying them properly and so they are planned to teach he NGO a lesson. But why should the patients suffer with unhygienic conditions is the question. It has been learnt that, the NGO of Agartala with their office adjacent to Radhanagar Busstand is backed by a powerful CPIM party leader of Agartala and are given the cleaning task of four to five subdivisional-hospitals,all facing the same fate. And for the party influence none of the SDMOs are dared to take any step against them. What a fate the patients have in this state !
