AGARTALA, March 16 (TIWN): Tripura Congress to go in protest if no action taken against BJP hooligans of Mohanpur for attacking Opposition, Victim’s mother.

Women Congress on yesterday led by leader Ratna Dutta has placed a deputation to the SP West Manik Das after they were attacked on yesterday in Mohanpur.

The attack took place when Congress members went to Mohanpur’s Rangachara to meet the rape victim’s family.

Women Commission members said, they were attacked for the first time when went to meet any victim.

Congress has demanded investigation on that incident within 72 hours, otherwise, Congress will go in further protest.

Around 25 to 30 people allegedly have attacked the Congress activists.

Same happened with CPI-M, lawyers, journalists when they went to meet / report on  the raped, murdered victim’s family on yesterday.
