AGARTALA, March 8 (TIWN): Tripura CM Biplab on Sunday has messed up between two Indian epic tales while referring the married episode in one of the epics.
On International Women’s Day, CM was addressing in Agartala and referred how Sita was married to King Rama in Ramayana.

But when in the epic Ramayana, it is said that Sita garlanded King Rama after he lifted heavy bow, but Tripura CM Biplab Deb said there was an archery competition and Rama won in that. This was actually Mahabharata’s marriage episode where Arjun won archery and married Droupdi.
CM soon realized that he messed up and then added “sorry”, but could not rectify the whole added “5 brothers” (Mahabharata) and said two brothers Rama and Laxman but kept his stand continue on archery competition.
This is not the first time, but earlier also CM was trolled nationally in social media, media after he said “Internet was existing in Mahabharata's time”.
In last 2 years above 40 gaffes or faulty speeches have been delivered by Tripura CM.
