AGARTALA, March 6 (TIWN): Satya Gopal Chatterjee has taken oath as Tripura High Court Judge today.

High Court Chief Justice Akil Abdulhamid Kureshi has administered the oath at the High Court in the presence of all judicial officers.

The Central government on Wednesday appointed Satya Gopal Chatterjee, Judicial Officer, as Judge of the Tripura High Court.

With this appointment approved by the President of India, the Tripura High Court has reached its maximum sanctioned strength of 4 judges.

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended his elevation on February 19.

Tripura High Court has now 4 justices including Chief Justice Akil Abdulhamid Kureshi.
