AGARTALA, March 1 (TIWN): In a surprise move to clean Chief Minister’s Office, CM sidelined Dilip Roy, a corrupt OSD cum CPI-M Secretary Goutam Das’s relative from Secretariat to KTDS Police Academy.

Dilip Roy, a TPS was appointed for over 2 years as the OSD to the Chief Minister of Tripura, amid much objection from the Chief Minister’s close people. Finally, he was removed after crossing 2 years. Dilip Roy like officials are generally would be obedient to any party which is in power whereas his massive personal property hikes are under scanner.

It was reported earlier that in the year 2002, preliminary investigation into SDPO Dilip Ray led Police firing and subsequent killing of DSP Kalyan Sarkar and 2 other Police officials pointed towards unholy nexus of a group of Tripura Police officials and Dharmanagar based smugglers.

Alongwith smugglers, Tripura and Manipur based millitants wanted a large lumpsum money in exchange of the kidnapped girl Nayank Agarwal. Dilip Ray’s selection as TPS officer was a highly questionable because during 1998.
