AGARTALA, Feb 29 (TIWN): A shop was looted in Agartala Joynagar area near JBC club, erupted massive resentment among the public.
The shopkeeper said that he was informed in the morning by another shopkeeper that his shop’s door is broken. Getting informed, he rushed to the spot immediately and found his shop was fully looted.
Cash and important items were taken away. Around Rs. 4,000 cashes were looted atleast.
The shop belongs to Utpal Deb and he is not the first victim of theft incident but this type of law and order problem has become a daily threat, said a local resident of there.
Day by day numbers of thieves are increasing and also numbers of theft incidents are taking at a large number, generating massive resentment among the public over the pathetic law and order situation.
Locals said that many shops in that area were looted but police failed to find out the thieves.
