AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Feb 28 (TIWN): CPI-M’s women wing Nari Samiti on Friday has staged protest against increasing crime against women and also various unconstitutional new laws, bills, amendments like CAA.
Addressing media, CPI-M women leader Rama Das said, “Today across the nation CAA, NPR, NRC are being opposed by common men. Total 36 persons died. In Assam people are dying in the detention camps”.
“We will help Govt only in Govt conducted census, not more than that……no extra information will be given to the public”, she said.
Rama Das slammed the BJP Govt over increasing crime against women in Tripura.
She expressed surprises over 1742 kidnapping incidents in state in last 22 months.
“An uncomfortable situation across the state and nationally also. 93 women at average are rapped. 1.5 cases are pending in the courts”, she added.
