AGARTALA, Feb 26 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Wednesday while addressing in Agartala Book fair claimed that Tripura is the only state in Northeast which does not have loadshedding problems at all but the ground reality is massive power cuts, load shedding disrupting normal lives Statewide. He claimed, here in Tripura 24 hours uncut electricity remains without disruptions.“Tripura is such a wonderful state and people are so good but a negative mentality was created to destroy the temperament. Even the book fair was attempted to be destroyedâ€, claimed Deb amid major section of people not only oppose BJP, but public now hate the party.
Moreover, load-shedding is a major problem of the state and many areas are still in dark without electricity. Also the Govt has increased 5% tariff on electricity to generate more revenue.
After protests also, nothing was changed and now Govt moves to privatize the employment in the TSECL. He also claimed Tripura unemployment is only 4.5% now when national data says, it is 32.7%, highest in the country.
