KAILASAHAR, Nov 9 (TIWN) : Locale of South Samrurpar area alleged the Implementing Engineer with massive irregularities in the construction of Madrassa building. The local people alleged that the Engineer Bhadrajit Sarkar is pocketing huge money by deteriorating the quality of the work.

The new building of Soth Samrurpar madrassa is being built from RD costing 6,00,000 rupees. Bhadrajit Sarkar, JE of Chandipur R.D. Block is the implementing officer of the work. Local people alleged to TIWN that, in every step the Engineer is doing rampant corruption. Instead of 12 mm TMT Bar, he is using 8 mm TMT Bar. The quality of bricks is below standard and the brick chips and sand is being used without cleaning. Several times the local people informed the BDO of Chandipur R.D. Block about irregularities, but without result. Ultimately, the local people stopped the work yesterday. MLA Birajit Sinha visited the spot and demanded up to the mark work. Rather the BDO would be gheraod, threatened the MLA. Locale demanded stringent action from the higher-up officials to keep up the quality in the work.
