Agartala, Nov 9 (TIWN): In a devastating fire, two persons were killed mysteriously and a house was completely gutted at Ujan Abhoynagar area in the capital city– Agartala, on Saturday late night. According to the police, a deceased was identified as- Laxmi Chowdhury (70), owner of the house while other deceased is still remains unidentified.
According to the locals, Laxmi was a retired government employee, who used to stay at her house lonely. She had been suffering from back pain for long time. Her three sons stay in the out of state for job purpose, said locals.
After noticing the massive fire, the locals informed to police and fire service immediately. But the house and two persons were entirely gutted before the fire-fighters were reached to the spot.
After receiving the information, police of New Capital Complex police station and experts of forensic laboratory rushed to the place of occurrence and recovered the bodies on Sunday morning. Later, the bodies were sent to hospital for post mortem.
A communiqué of New Capital Complex police station said, “The actual reason of fire caught is yet to be ascertained. Police is investigating the matter. Police is also trying to trace the unidentified person.”
