Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary programme cancelled by Tripura Police over Law & Order issue

AGARTALA, Jan 31 (TIWN): In another law and order issue excuse, Tripura Police at Belonia under South Tripura did not give permission for a rally organized on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary.
The programme was called by CPI-M Party, a nationwide programme.
Reportedly, over law and order issue, the programme was stopped by police. Police also added Saraswati puja as another reason for not permitting the rally.
