AGARTALA, Jan 26 (TIWN): As India celebrates its 71st Republic Day on Sunday, Tripura witnessed a unique protest in the form of a city-wide human chain with oaths of save constitution.
Former CM Manik Sarkar led the human chain movement here in Agartala.
Thousands of participants came to support the chain of humanity, brotherhood and unity.
Leader Pabitra Kar said, on the occasion of 71st Republic Day it is important to say that the people of India are protesting against the Govt and how people are under suppression and democracy is suppressed under the BJP Govt.
“Today 5 Left front parties from Battala-Kaman Chowmuhani-Jackson Gate have joined the rally, participated by renowned personalities. Oath taking took place to save the Constitution and we are determined to work to save the constitution, save the Indian flag”, Pabitra Kar told media.
