AGARTALA, Jan 26 (TIWN): Amid tight securities, Republic Day was so far celebrated in Tripura peacefully.

From morning to evening various programmes took place in the state.

When Assam has undergone tension, Tripura’s situation remained peacefully.

Statewide colourful programmes conducted, tableaus were staged.

In Agartala Assam Rifles ground, in the presence of Ramesh Bais, the Governor of Tripura, Chief Minister Biplab Deb the programme was staged.

Political parties also celebrated this day with huge enthusiasm.
