AGARTALA/AMBASSA, Jan 25 (TIWN): 10th National NVD (National Voters Day) 2020 has been celebrated on Saturday along with the theme “Electoral Literacy for stronger Democracy†aims to promote the electoral process among newly eligible young voters in the country.
The day is celebrated to create awareness about the voting rights of the people, especially among teenagers who are 18 to 19 years old and attract more voters. The day is observed at the national Level, assembly Level, Constituency Level, State Level, Polling Station Level, and District Level.
At Agartala the program was inaugurated by Sri Ramesh Bais, Hon’ble Governor of Tripura at Rabindra Bhavan. He addressed the people present at the program and discussed on the importance of voting system at importance of the program of NBD. He said,” National Voters day symbolises the process to strengthen the electoral system of the state”.
