AGARTALA, Jan 13 (TIWN): Royal Scion, former State Congress President Pradyot Manikya has strongly condemned Tripura Congress’s Anti-Bru stand on yesterday’s press conference led by Acting State President of Congress Pijush Biswas and former President Birjit SInha, asked, whether it is personal or Congress party’s official statement ?

He also mentioned this is just a “Betray” by the Congress party to the indigenous people.

“I am so sad and disappointed that my former party can go against the indigenous Bru people , I want to ask the congress leadership if this is the official stand of the congress - there is no difference between what BJP and Tripura congress is saying - what a betrayal- what a shame !”, said Pradyot Manikya in his social media page.

Birjit Sinha on the other side was heavily trolled for his anti-Bru stand.

When national senior Congress leader Jairam arrived in the state and talked for Brus in Kanchanpur warning the District Magistrate to take legal action for violation Food Security Act, such a comment from Birjit Sinha was weird and had done ultimate damage before ADC Election beyond repair.

Prdayot Manikya in various rallies said, he will make sure that Brus stay in Tripura as they are afterall Indians, have right to stay anywhere, when Modi Govt is receiving foreigners to the land.
