AGARTALA, Jan 12 (TIWN): The nation today paid tributes to Swami Vivekananda on his 157 birth anniversary that is being observed as National Youth Day.

Congress also paid tribute to countrywide as well as in Tripura.

Sonia Gandhi described Swami Vivekananda as the great son of India and said his birthday gives an opportunity to redeem our pledge and to devote ourselves to Swami ji's message of humanity, compassion and universal “brotherhood".

Congress’s tweet : Swami Vivekananda once said, “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on that idea.” Today on National Youth Day, we salute the youth of India for embracing one idea, the idea of India.
