AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Dec 30 (TIWN): Tripura SFI Secretary Sandipan Deb has called for the continuation of the freedom movement started in 1970 by the Students Federation of India (SFI) saying, “Today day has come when we have to measure how much Freedom is existing in this countryâ€, adding the meaning of Freedom means “Work, Education for all†and “Freedom from Capitalism†and formation of country to be ruled by “Socialism†and “Democracyâ€.
“From December 27 to December 30, 1970 in Kerala’s Trivandrum the SFI started its journey. People of India who freed the country from the tyranny of British rule didn’t get the ultimate freedom. This freedom brought changes although for a section of people but the rest of India yet deprive of their total rights”, Deb said.

“Now the problems of people in India has increased a lot. SFI thus to work for its sole aim Work for all, Education for all”, he said.
“On the 50th anniversary we assure with firmness that SFI will be strengthening more and more to lead more students movement in coming days”, Sandipan Deb told media.
