AGARTALA, Dec 30 (TIWN): While addressing a the Media, Tripura CM Biplab Deb said, â€Government is working to fulfil all promises made in BJP vision document and said steps are taken to create income-generating avenues for youthsâ€. Deb added, “Tripura is moving in the right direction of developmentâ€.
But reality depicted a total opposite scenario. None of the points among the 10 action points in the Vision Document has been kept in these 21 months of BJP Governance in Tripura. Tripura youths are running door to door, inblind, without any job. Unemployment rate has alarmingly increased in the State. Educated youth’s are moving jobless. Where the vision document’s 1st point claimed,” one employment opportunity to every household”, proved to be fake. Also no regularization of the contractual Government employees have been done till date. 10,323 teachers are still on a dole, where job security and their future are at a stake.
On his battle against drugs, Chief Minister Biplab Deb claimed,”ever since he assumed power, there has been a curb on it”.
In this above said context, “Nesha Mukt Tripura “, saw the opening of BAR in the City, many tenders have been passed to open Foreign Liquor Shops. Here and now, reports have been found of trafficking Ganja and Yaba tablets in the city as well as outskirts.
Where the Vision Document stated “Conservation of Environment and Forests”, no steps have been taken in this respect.
Rather, in the name of making “Smart city”, centennial trees are cut now in every nooks and corner. Restrictions on Jhum cultivation, large scale immigration and timber smuggling have made Tripura an environmentally poor state.
People of the state do not have any democratic right to protest or express their views, on making any such attempt they are declared as anti-nationals. Is this the scenario of “Good Governance”?
