AGARTALA, Dec 7 (TIWN): Congress's Student wing NSUI staged protest against the Govt decision of closiy 961 schools in different places of the state on Saturday at Orient Chowmuhni, Agartala .

NSUI agitators also demanded for a Central University in Khumlung Central University ,TTAADC HQ along with seven other demands .

On this day ,Congress leader Shubal Bhowmik alleged ,The BJP leaders before the 2018 assembly election claimed a lot of things but after coming to the power they are appearing in a very neglecting manner towards their promises. He also mentioned about the corruption of Tripura's education department under JUMLA reign .He mentioned that ,this decision of closing 961 Govt aided schools will be considered as another number of the black-history of Tripura's BJP Govt. This decision will lead students mentality in a negative way for the lack of schools in their own areas .also it will minimize the chances of fresh recruitment.
The agitators also demanded for opening a Central university in Khumlung area and demanded for proper education system for the students of Tripura.
