Agartala, Nov 2 (TIWN): With the initiative of ward no- 16 of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC), ‘Rabindra-Najrul-Sukanta’ birth anniversary and a veteran felicitation programme was organized at Swami Dayalananda Vidyaniketan, here today.

Councilor of ward no- 16 of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC)- Basana Debnath delivered the inaugural address while former vice-chairman of AMC- Nagendra Chandra Sarkar delivered the presidential address in the programme.

During the function, besides felicitating the veterans, various prizes were distributed among the winners of sit and draw competition. Altogether 15 winning children have received awards while 75 veterans were felicitated.

MLA Gopal Chandra Roy graced the dais as chief guest while former Principal and Head Master of Swami Dayalananda Vidyaniketan- Alpana Datta Sinha and Dilip Kumar Dey attended the felicitation function as guests of honour and delivered their essential speeches.

The programme was presided over by the former vice-chairman of AMC- Nagendra Chandra Sarkar while Deputy Mayor of AMC- Samar Chakraborty attended remained present as main speaker.
