AGARTALA, Nov 26 (TIWN): Assam resident was caught in Tripura while smuggling contraband items here.

The accused has been identified as Sufian Ahmed (38), was caught by Churaibari police led by SP Bhanupada Chakraborty.

The incident took place at Churaibari’s Govindapur, Ward No-5.

Total 10,000 yaba tablets and 30 gram of brown sugar were recovered from him.

The items were smuggled  by hiring an auto from Kadamtala. The seized items will be cost of at least Rs. 80 lakhs.
