AGARTALA, Nov 21 (TIWN): Brus now have demanded a permanent solution to their ongoing issues which has shaken the whole state Tripura.
Brus who came from Mizoram have gained mass support as various leaders called for their Tripura Citizenship.
However, calling a press meet, the Brus said that the villages in Mizoram which belong to them, they demand those exact lands but Mizoram Govt is not considering the issue and the new lands they are getting are not satisfactory.
Right now total 7 Bru camps are existing in Tripura but one of them was not recognized by the Mizoram Govt.
A Bru leader said, “We don’t want any District Council but just give back us the same lands and also the Central Govt must monitor the repartition process as nothing is happening according to the promise given from centre”.
