AGARTALA, Nov 16 (TIWN): Media reports recently about Tripura have claimed Govt of Tripura led by BJP is allegedly intriguing for “force retirement†of Govt employees here.
However, from Govt side, only review of employees’ performance was announced and nowhere yet said that any retirement will be the outcome.
The controversy erupted after a circular stated those employees and teachers who have crossed the age of 50 years or completed 30 years of service should submit medical fitness certificate latest by December 31 next without fail.
A Northeast based media has reported that employees are suspecting that the government is trying to implement voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) in the State.
Over thousand contractual employees added by more mid-day-meal workers were reported since the Govt came in power.
Earlier, Finance Minister Jishnu Deb Barman said that Tripura has enough Govt employees and there is no need unless "vacant" posts created.
