AGARTALA, Nov 13 (TIWN): With a trend developed against Modi Govt by comparing the Govt with British Govt which existed before 1947, today CPI-M’s farmers rally also has raised slogan for “freedom†with aims of freeing India from BJP rule.
The CPI-M has conducted the biggest ever rally of the year in Tripura which left the whole Agartala city paralyzed.
The gathering crossed over 40,000 people, although everyone could not stand in the gathering and remained in the Melarmath area.
The crowd was gathered voicing against BJP Govt’s inhuman decision of scrapping various subsidies to the farmers in agriculture related products. Govt allegedly here has also failed to compensate the farmers in the last 2 years losses due to disasters.
CPI-M former MP Jitendra Choudhury also asked, if the Modi Govt can relax corporate taxes, why it can not do the same with farmers ?
CPI-M’s rally was joined by party workers from youth to main wings, who arrived from various corners of the state since early morning. Pictures of over-loaded trains, vehicles became viral in the morning.
