AGARTALA, Nov 11 (TIWN): Assam Rifles conducted a Workshop of Anti-Malaria and its prevention in conjunction with PHC, Thelakum at Thelakum Bari High School on 11 Nov 2019.

A total number of 90 villagers incl students and staff of school and locals from remote areas attended the workshop. Preventive measures like not allowing mosquito breeding in vicinity, use of mosquito nets etc. were discussed. People were also advised to seek medical assistance in case of fever. Assam Rifles has been assisting the civil administration in fighting the malaria menace by providing basic health and hygiene services to the people in remote areas.

This humane and selfless gesture was appreciated by the locals and the civil administration.
