AGARTALA, Nov 9 (TIWN): During a rally at Longtarai, former MP, Gana Mukti Parishad (GMP) President, CPI-M leader Jitendra Chowdhury was attacked severely.

During his speech, a group of miscreants rushed to the spot and snatched mikes and occupied stage.

The former MP then asked all the CPI-M members, not to lose temper and asked all to stop the programme immediately so that nobody gets chance of further violence.

CPI-M has condemned this incident, although it’s not the single incident held in the state in the recent times under the BJP rule.
