AGARTALA, Nov 8 (TIWN): Around 8,000 Asha workers who are working in Tripura have demanded their wage hikes at minimum Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 23,000.
A massive rally was witnessed in the capital city Agartala which marched towards the District Magistrate office and placed deputation to the West Tripura District Magistrate Sandeep Mahatme. The Deputation was added by a letter written by Asha workers for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Tripura Asha Karmi Sangha’s General Secretary talking to TIWN at the agitation spot said, “We have 10 demands and already we staged various protests. Our main demand is our wage hikes. We also demand a compensation of Rs.5 lakhs in accident cases. Around 8,000 Asha workers are working in Tripura”.
