KUMARGHAT, October 30 (TIWN): In the scam-tainted regime of Manik, another embezzlement of 1 crore rupees unearthed, here at Kumarghat. Yesterday evening, at Pabiacherra Congress Office, the Working President of TPCC, Mr. Ashis Saha and other leaders unearthed the scam with related documents. The Congress leaders demanded that, if CBI probe given than the embezzlement would surely cross the limit of minimum 10 crores of rupees.Yesterday, the Pabiacharra Block Congress organized a Press Meet in the party office. In that Press Meet they disclosed an embezzlement of total 1,06, 21, 355 rupees gobbled by Kumarghat Nagar Panchayat and Kumarghat R. D. Block. In that embezzlement, Nagar Panchayat gobbled 53,31,641 rupees and the Block contributed an embezzlement of 52,898,714 rupees. The leaders of Opposition demanded that, the Nagar Panchayat has gobbled the money in different schemes from RSVY, SSRY to different construction works like Town Hall, Park at Halaimura etc.

The R.D. Block has embezzled fund in the construction of SNP Godown, forestation etc. All the related documents were obtained through RTI and the leaders alleged that, the authority is suppressing many more information. In this Press Meet, the Working President of TPCC Mr. Asish Saha, former NSUI leader Vikki Prasad, East Tripura Youth Congress leader  Rintu lal Dey were present.
