KAILASAHAR, Oct 28, (TIWN) : Once again an under-aged school girl became victim of rape. Already complaint lodged with Kailasahar Women P.S. But still after 24 hours the culprit absconding.

This barbaric incident took place yesterday around 11 am when Swapna Begum (15), daughter of Suruk Ali of Bhagaban Nagar was going to school. As her bicycle was out of order, she was going on foot. When she was almost 200 mtr away from school and going through paddy field, some Abu Ali (35) of Fulbarikandi forced her to nearby Kali Temple and raped her. Hearing her hue and cry, some teachers of her school rushed to the spot and rescued her. On the very evening, a case was filed with Kailasahar Women Police Station. Today, the O.C. of Kailasahar Women Police Station Dipanjana Sinha informed that, the police became unable to trace any such person named Abu Ali, at Fulbarikandi area. It is notable that, two months earlier, a 13 year old girl was raped at Fulbarikandi. But in that case too, police failed to arrest the culprit. This incident has created much resentment among local people against police and administration.
