AGARTALA, Sep 29 (TIWN): After completing his 2-days-long Delhi visit, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb while replying various media queries in the state said that as soon as annual festival Durga puja ends, CBI will start working on Rose Valley like chit fund cases in Tripura.
The Chief Minister is confident that actual culprits behind the chit fund cases will come out if CBI starts their activities soon.
Also Deb has requested the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to look into the matter so that people here get justice who were looted, cheated by the Rose Valley and other Chit fund companies.
In another major development, CM told the Home Minister that investigation into the murder cases of Tripura’s two killed journalists Santanu Bhoumik, Sudip Datta Bhoumik must be started too at the earliest.
Earlier CBI interrogated former CPI-M Minister Bijita Nath, Badal Chouhdury and CPI-M State General Secretray Gautam Das in Rose Valley chit fund case.
74 chit fund cases have been handed-over to CBI after the BJP Govt assumed power.
