PALATANA/UDAIPUR, October28(TIWN): US Consul General Ms Helen Lafave of US Consulate Kolkata today visited OTPCs 726.6MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine(CCGT) Thermal Power plant at Palatana today.

At around 12 noon Consul General Ms Helen Lafave visited the plant. At her arrival MS Helen Lafave was accorded a warm welcome by the officials of OTPC ,BHEL, and Sugex Oman India Pvt Ltd. .

It is learnt that US Consul General spent almost an hour in the plant. During her one hour stay the Consul General took a brief note on the ongoing activities there. Moreover, she had a brief idea of the power generation from Unit-I and the expected date of Commercial Generation from the Unit-II. According to TIWN sources her visit is significant as far as economic relationship is concerned, not only that Palatana's all Technology and Turbines are from USA's GE (General Electric).  Many companies are now visiting Palatana expressing their desire to buy share of this plant.
