AGARTALA, Sep 28 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb while addressing in an Educational programme on Saturday said that only BPL and MGNREGA mandays can never measure the developmental status of a state, but it’s Education quality which all matters.

CM said in reference about Education dept led NCERT syllabus’s introduction in which Tripura Govt has cited example nationally.

“No other state could implement NCERT syllabus in such a short period of time. Tripura indeed developed a lot today, reflected by Education quality”, said CM.

Deb further mentioned, today like the previous govt no teacher will be beaten on road after he catches proxies in exams as today all question papers are same and nobody will know what question is coming in exam.

CM hit the previous CPI-M Govt for politicizing Education system and mentioned further how police working to curb the massive drug addiction problems due to illegal supplying networks established in last 25 years.
