AGARTALA, Sep 25 (TIWN): In another brutal incident, at least 10 men have raped a housewife by kidnapping her from a prominent crowded area of the Agartala city.

The incident shook Tripura, raising question on the Govt’s claim of “Crime against women decreased in Tripura”, when from GB like area a woman was kidnapped, gang-raped and the Women Commission’s voice remained unheard.

The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon, but even after lodging FIR, police was harassing the victim party, alleged the opposition Congress.

A ruling party MLA allegedly pressurized to suppress the case.

Today Congress led by leader Subal Bhowmik met the victim at TMC hospital. Her condition has been reported as critical.

Former Chief Minister Manik Sakar also met the victim family and the victim.
