Agartala, October 28 (TIWN): Tripura capital town has climbed the ladder of change as its Municipal status from Agartala Municipality Council to Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) for around a year now. However, on instances several chaos remain inevitable when an AMC garbage lifting lorry was found at Shakuntala Road in city this morning at 10.30 AM creating inexcusable traffic jam during peak time of office hours here today.
The truck numbered TR01 F 1014 is one the singly labeled AMC vehicles that has disturbed the movement of traffic during the rush hours of city dwellers and office goers on weekdays. AMC administration has prevailed with such scenario jeopardizing the lifestyle of despite a changed outlook the city has shaped up in last few months.
“Its bizarre to explain that municipal administration has always been harsh on poor hawkers and retailers of the capital, but nobody dares to train a gun on AMC management that has been disturbing city environment by choosing an odd business time to lift garbage that is gradually making our life weird,” mentioned a poor retailer managing his food stall opposite of IGM Hospital gate every morning, where he never fails to observe an AMC truck get halted around 11 AM to lift garbage been dumped from hospital and surroundings.
Civilians have been slowly changing their lifestyle to get accustomed with such dismal management of AMC, but administration still seem to bask under the period of its changed status from Council to Corporation. Many authoritative bodies in administration present or focus the glamorous sites of the city.
