Mohanpur, Oct 28 (TIWN): The traditional Barmula mela will be started at Bharat Chowdhury Para village in mountains foothills of Barmura hill under Hezamara block from November 5. This fair will be continued till November 7.
To mark the celebration of Rash Purnima, 3-day long traditional Barmura fair will be inaugurated by the Chief Executive Member of Autonomous District Council (ADC)- Dr. Ranjit Debbarma.
The executive member of agriculture division, ADC- Ranabir Debbarma would grace the dais as chief guest while the inaugural ceremony will be presided over by the MLA Pranab Debbarma.
To make this 3-day long fair successful, recently a preparatory meeting was conducted at Block Advisory Committee (BAC) hall of Hezamara. During the meeting a committee was formed where MLA Pranab Debbarma and Block Development Officer (BDO)- Jogesh Reang was elected as chairman and convener respectively.
In the meeting, altogether 10 sub committees were formed. Besides, the chairmen of different villages and officers from various departments attended the meeting.
