AGARTALA, Sep 21 (TIWN): Tripura BJP MLA Rampada Jamatia was allegedly attempted to be murdered by BJP’s politically aligned party IPFT on Friday. Earlier also, similar attacks by IPFT on Rampada Jamatia took place.

MLA Rampada Jamatia, who is Vice President of Tripura BJP in an address to media at Ambassa BJP Office alleged that while attending a bamboo mission programme under the State Govt at Ganganagar community hall he was attacked by IPFT activists and Ganganagar OC’s role was too suspicious, who even after being informed about life threats on the MLA went to the spot without any weapon.

FIR has been lodged against 10 IPFT activists.

The attack first took place at the Ganganagar community hall led by Gouranga Reang and Sanjay Reang. Then after sometime they again entered the hall and allegedly attempted to murder him. Jamatia said, “If police and escorts were not with me, then anything could happen”.

The IPFT also allegedly used abusive words against MLA Rampada Jamatia.

The MLA slammed IPFT giving a stern warning to its leader saying, “Friendship and enmity can not go together. IPFT is getting all benefits from the Govt but again attacking Govt’s MLAs. It is unacceptable”.
