AGARTALA, Sep 19 (TIWN): Congress’s West Bengal top leader Abdul Mannan has campaigned for Tripura by-election.

Mannan has sought vote for Ratan Das, the candidate of Badharghat-14 Congress candidate.

Abdul Mannan is the current Leader of the Opposition belonging to Indian National Congress in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. On 7 February 2017, Mannan was seriously injured in a fight over a property damage bill in the Assembly.

Tripura by-election to be conducted on September 23. The seat was vacated after former BJP MLA Dilip Sarkar passed away.
