AGARTALA, Sep 16 (TIWN): Former Health Minister Badal Choudhury has suspected that BJP led State Govt has reportedly imposed fees on various health services aimed to boost the private hospitals in the state.
“We also want that numbers of private hospitals should be increased in the state, but this motive of the Govt which is to force consumers to go to the private hospitals by imposing massive fees on the Govt hospitals is unacceptable from a State Govt”, said Choudhury.
He stated 90 to 95 percent people are dependent upon Govt health services.
“CPI-M Govt’s ultimate aim was to free the medical service 100% free of cost but this present Govt which didn’t fulfil Vision Document is now acting beyond the Vision Document laid promises by taking anti-people decisions”, said Choudhury.
