KAILASAHAR, Oct 27, (TIWN) : Unhygenic rice is used in Mid Day Meal for quite a long period. Several times the local guardians knocked the school authority for changing the rice, But the Head Mistress Jharna Das paid no heed. Ultimately, the local people took their step today against the authority of Birchandranagar S. B. School, today.

Today the local people entered the school to enquire of the quality of the rice. They found the rice unhygienic and non-consumable. They took all the ric-bags out on the street and started blockade on Kailasahar- Fatikroy road. However, after sometimes the Chairman of School Management Committee Bijita Sinha, assured in written that, the rice would be changed within two days. Then the blockade was ended. However, the HM Jharna Das tried to shed her duty blaming the School Management Committee and Inspector of Schools. But the Chairman of School Managed Committee and the cook Bina Das completely brought out her negligence regarding the quality of Mid Day Meal.
