AGARTALA, Sep 5 (TIWN): Vegetable crisis and high prices reported across Tripura with a continuous hike-maintained price tags.
Due flood-damages of crops the situation has been affected a lot this year.
Whereas Agartala markets are dependent upon exported items at the same time semi-urban and urban areas are suffering due to lack of vegetable and high prices.
Vegetable sellers are undergoing heavy losses in Agartala due to lack of buyers.
The reason behind lack of buyers are however the extreme price of vegetables but in Gol Bazar, where price stays little down all the time, numbers of buyers are also less.
The vegetables collections are also less as the shop-keepers are unable to sell the stored vegetable items.
Talking to one farmer at Gol Bazar who came to deliver items, he said due to flood farmers are undergoing massive crisis and almost all crops were damaged.
