AGARTALA, Sep 4 (TIWN): Tripura Royal scion Pradyot Deb Barman started receiving replies to his legal notices sent to over 200 families for eviction in Agartala. Already many are taking shelter of laws whereas Advocate Amitava Roy Barman on behalf of one land owner Kanchan Prabha Majumder called Pradyot Deb Barman’s legal notice as “baseless†and “fabricatedâ€.
The land-owner also has shown valid documents against Prince Pradyot Deb Barman’s claim that her family occupied lands illegally. It has been shown that late King Kirit Bikram Manikya, the father of Pradyot Manikya had sold off that property and in 1988 and with all formalities she bought that land.
Naturally other lands also come under same process.
Now, the ultimate decision likely to be proceeded to the court.
Pradyot Manikya is the chief inheritor of Manikya dynasty and now Tripura State Congress President. Amid all controversies, Pradyot is loved and followed by youngsters of Tripura.
