AGARTALA, Aug 20 (TIWN): ‘Nesha Mukt’ Tripura vision of Chief Minister Biplab Deb is breeding success and drug-peddlers across the State Tripura are ratting under Police forces strong actions.Just 2 days after SP North Bhanupada Chakraborty led police force seized massive contraband items from the Motorstand area in Dharmanagar that on Tuesday once again Police conducted a successful drive against Drug Smugglers. This time, on Monday at Panisagar huge numbers of cough syrup bottles were seized. Talking to Panisagar Police today the onduty officer informed, “On yesterday late night, North Tripura SP Bhanupada Chakraborty was informed via secret source about the stock of huge amounts contrabands, Accordingly, police officials led by SP, 465 bottles in 3 curtains could be recovered. The house-owner Nikesh Das (Bapan) has been arrested and inquired. A case has been filed numbered 52/2019 in the police station”.

Data says that under SP Bhanupada Chakraborty in last one year more than Rs. 1 crore’s of contraband items have been seized. His network is very strong and layered at the root level.

The activeness of police also increased since I/C-DGP Rajiv Singh took the charges.

On August 17  under SP Bhanupada Chakrabort one more major success was recorded.

On that raid also, through secret intelligence reports, North SP Bhanupada Chakraborty was informed about massive storage of contrabands in a house in the Rajbari area and following the report the whole operation was done. Police have seized at least 10000 prohibited ya-ba tablets, huge numbers of Chorex and other contrabands amounting Rs. 50 lakhs, a big amount. 

SP Bhanupada Chakraborty while talking to media said that via narcotic networks such drug mafias have lifted their lifestyles abnormally. He said, all the culprits could not be arrested but police will catch all of them soon. This raid was done after the SP was informed via secret sources about the storage of contrabands in the house.

When the healthy contest district-wise is going high, people eyeing to know when police will catch the actual masterminds, sitting under political shelter and public agonies are there that police yet to take action against few politically powerful persons due to pressure and power-politics.

Time to time allegations came against MP Pratima Bhowmik for her family run phensedyl business, Ram Prasad Pal’s brother Mana Pal and few more and it has wide expectations that raids will be done in such people’s residences also in coming days. Against Pratima Bhowmik, BJP MLA Surajit Dutta himself brought allegation of nexus with drug-empire and about her brother Biswajit’s drug-smuggling whole Sonamura and Dhanpur are acknowledged.
