AGARTALA, Aug 20 (TIWN): Congress National leader Bhupen Borah who is now visiting Tripura while addressing on the occasion of birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi said that Rajiv Gandhi was not just a successful PM of India but of World.

“Those who question today, what Rajiv Gandhi did for India, they must know, it was due to Rajiv Gandhi that India has been modernized, developed. He was mocked at the beginning saying, how a pilot will be piloting such a big country, but Gandhi had proven those allegations as myth and today youths are dreaming to reach at the global level of success due to Rajiv Gandhi’s contribution”, said Bhupen Borah.

He further said, Tripura itself is a Veer-Bhumi and that’s why all Veers including Maharaja Bir Bikaram Manikya, Rajiv Gandhi are remembered.
