AGARTALA, Aug 13 (TIWN): Martyred in Pakistan’s attack at J&K border in 2016, Sambhu Satmura’s mother Beena Satmura (65) suffering from cancer. Family and friends have sought help from Govt of Tripura and the people of Tripura.
BSF (107 battalion) jawan, Satmura, 34, was patrolling along the border in the Jamia Wali Gali area of Poonch district when a mine, laid by the Pakistani army on a slippery slope, exploded, killing him on the spot.
Satmura joined the BSF in 2007 and is survived by his father Lt. Shibcharan Satmura mother Beena Satmura (65) elder sister Sima, younger sister Mousumi and wife Shipra Satmura.
Satmura's father Shibcharan had also been a BSF jawan, who is also a martyr.
His wife is to get Rs. 25, lakhs and also a job by the Govt on that time.
Family which is now comprised with daughter and mother alone have sought helps from the people and Govt. The martyr’s friend who is a peon in Secretariat have donated an amount but sought Govt’s help.
