Agartala, October 24(TIWN): Veteran Literatuer, Educationist and Professor, Minakshi Sen. Bandopadhaya had breathed her last on Friday morning. She was admitted in the ILS Hospital, on last Monday due to brain hemarage.
It is known that on last Monday morning, she was found unconscious in her house bathroom at Rabindra Palli. Smt.Bandopadhaya was immediately shifted to the hospital where she was declared to be in the coma. She was kept in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital. Still the last day of survival, she had never come out of the coma. The doctors tried revive her heart to survive her life. But discarding the entire attempt she finally breathed her last on Friday morning at near about 6.15 a.m.
Immediately after the death news of this veteran person, the bereavement atmosphere prevails in the literature and education sphere. Every literate, educationist condoles over her death. After the body was taken from ILS Hospital to her home, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and other dignitaries paid last tributes to her.
Then the body was taken to Rabindra Bhawan, where social activists, Panchali Bhattacharjee, Educationist Rameshwar Bhattacharjee, eminent singers and professors played tribute to her. Other than that tribute was paid to her at Tripura State Women’s Commission. It is to be mentioned that Smt. Bandopadhaya was survived by her son, Sambhav Bandopadhaya and mother. Her husband, well known literate, Satyen Bandopadhaya expired few years ago.
