AGARTALA, July 22 (TIWN): Professor beating episode in a college at Khowai inside students’ council has been strongly criticized by Congress’s student wing NSUI.

Addressing media, NSUI leader Sushanta Das said, “We have come to know such an incident has taken place at Khowai which never happened in the state earlier”.

“The people who contribute to teach children and to form a society are not safe today. The professor was beaten but police instead of arresting the culprits have taken the professor in police station. We condemn the incident. The people who talk about Good Governance, under their Govt such incidents are taken place. This incident signals to what, we want to ask the question to the Education Minister and Chief Minister.
