AGARTALA, July 19 (TIWN): Our of 17 Jila Parishad seats in West Tripura, till now 5 candidates have won uncontested as the opposition candidates have surrendered nominations.

The candidates have been allegedly forced by BJP to surrender nominations, alleged opposition parties. In these 5 seats, BJP has won and DM West Sandeep Mahatme has handed-over certificates to the candidates. In West Tripura’s 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 seats BJP has won uncontested.
