AGARTALA, July 16 (TIWN): Dharmanagar police led by SP Bhanupada Chakraborty has seized 8,000 yaba tablets based on secret information.

SP praised Chief Minister Biplab Deb for his move against drug and said, CM always asks police, administration to keep eyes open against illegal practices.

“We have seized 8000 yaba tablets wothing 30 lakhs from rom the house of Tahidul Islam. On yesterday Atahur Ramhan via his personal car from Silchar. Local people alerted that they are having some contrabands with them and in the same wat the Silchar man regularly comes. We detained them on yesterday night and after interrogation they said where they kept the items. Today in front of media, we have seized their hidden contraband items”, said Charaborty.

He further urged public to keep in touch with police and if anything is seen immediately to inform police. The informer’s name always will be hidden and they can help CM Biplab Deb’s Nesha-Mukt Tripura dream.
