AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): On being asked by journalists where the CPI-M will stage their “dharna†against poll violence on July 18 in Agartala, CPI-M spokesperson Bijan Dhar said that they are unable to fix a particular place for agitation as everywhere water-logging is existing.
Dhar also pulled CM’s leg saying the CM must bring ship till Agartala, not Sonamura.
The water-logging was created due to rains which is however, nothing new for Agartala.
CPI-M alleged, just like September 2018, BJP has bound CPI-M candidates in this Panchayat election to withdraw nominations, which is totally undemocratic. Also the party said that 86% uncontested seat winning of BJP is nothing but proof of ‘farcical election’.
Bijan Dhar heavily criticized CM Biplab Deb for declining to meet CPI-M representatives who wanted to meet CM and request for peaceful election.
CPI-M will stage Dharna on July 18 in protest of massive alleged attacks on opposition parties.Tripura Panchayat election is going to be conducted on July 27.
