AGARTALA, July 13 (TIWN): DYFI, CPI-M’s youth wing today has met Arshiya, the chess champion of Tripura, who has won Gold as well as Bronze medals in the recently held Asian School Chess Championship.

Arshiya Das, chess gem of Tripura is now helped financially.

8 years old girl Arshiya Das has represented India in the Asian School Chess Championship being held in Uzbekistan from Wednesday.

She is a student of class-III in Holy Cross School in Agartala. She had started playing chess when she was five years old and has won many tournaments across the country.
